Debra Walton
Global Head of Market Development
Debra Walton is Global Head of Market Development for Thomson Reuters Markets. Ms. Walton is responsible for interfacing between the Strategic Business Units, the Sales Channel, and the customers to build robust and professional enterprise functions for the newly merged company.
Prior to the merger between Thomson and Reuters, Ms. Walton served as President of Global Accounts, and prior to that as Managing Director and Head of the Investment Banking Division.
Prior to joining Thomson Financial, Ms. Walton was President & Chief Operating Officer of Nucleus Financial Network, Inc., and Partner & Managing Director at Cantor Fitzgerald L.P. From 1987 to 1994, Ms. Walton held senior marketing and sales management roles at Dow Jones Telerate.
Ms. Walton is a member, and former co-President of the Board of Directors of the Women's Bond Club of New York. Ms. Walton is a former member of the board of the YWCA of New York City and of Cancer Care. She served as Chair of the Academy of Women Achievers in 1997 and 1998 and is actively involved in their mission to educate, acknowledge and advance women.
Ms. Walton was a recipient of the prestigious New York Women’s Agenda Galaxy Award in 2001.
