OUR STRATEGY FOR WEALTH MANAGEMENT
We have embarked on a program to integrate the wealth management assets and capabilities of both Thomson and Reuters. Over time this integration process will result in a convergence of platforms to deliver a suite of solutions that will offer all of our wealth management customers the advantage of the breadth of capabilities from Thomson Reuters.
Web products
We will combine the powerful content and wealth management capabilities of Reuters Knowledge Direct and Thomson iWealth with the unique content of InvestmentView and Lipper to create the most powerful wealth management offering in the industry, delivered via a lightweight user-friendly web interface. This upgraded offering will be made available in staged releases over the next 18 months.
Content
We have already integrated Reuters News into Thomson ONE and Lipper into InvestmentView and around the middle of next year we will further enhance InvestmentView by adding Lipper Classification data too. In the same time frame, we will also be running the first pilot of our CRM, Book Connections, adding TAXL to performance reporting and portfolio planning and upgrading asset allocation and financial planning functions.
Desktop products
Our current desktop offerings for wealth managers include Thomson ONE, a professional series of wealth management tools, Reuters Wealth Manager, an enterprise grade market data desktop, and Reuters Plus. We are now working on integrating the leading capabilities from each of these desktops to create one unified desktop, based on the Thomson ONE infrastructure. The integration of Reuters News and Messaging into the new desktop platform is complete and available to all existing Thomson ONE users. As we bring together our desktop products, we will upgrade our customers to provide a significant increase in capabilities. In some cases, depending on the technology configurations at a customer site, these upgrades have already commenced.
