Suresh Kavan
President, Investment & Advisory
Suresh Kavan is president of the Investment & Advisory group for the Markets Division of Thomson Reuters. This group is responsible for solutions focused on serving the needs of the "off-trading floor" segments of Investment Banking, Investment Management, Corporate Services and Wealth Management.
In January 2005, Mr. Kavan was appointed president of Corporate, Investment Management and Investment Banking of Thomson Financial, having previously served as president of Global Customer Segments. Mr. Kavan joined Thomson Financial in September 2000 as a result of the acquisition of Primark.
Prior to this, Mr. Kavan served as president and chief executive officer of I/B/E/S International, Inc. He has been involved in the financial information industry for more than 20 years, holding a variety of positions in sales and sales management, marketing, research, technology, product development, business development and general management. In that time he has also enjoyed significant regional experience working in Europe, Asia and the United States.
Mr. Kavan serves as a founding shareholder and Board Member of Ultimate Resort, LLC.
Mr. Kavan holds a BS in Economics from University College, London.
