Helen Owers
President & Chief Operating Officer, International Legal and Regulatory
Helen Owers is President and Chief Operating Officer, International Legal and Regulatory, for the Professional Division of Thomson Reuters. International Legal and Regulatory provides leading information and software-based products, solutions and services for legal, tax, accounting and other professionals in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
Ms. Owers has most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Thomson International Legal & Regulatory. Over a six-year Thomson career, she has played a key leadership role in driving online growth, portfolio management, geographic expansion and managing Thomson International Legal & Regultory's Asia operations.
Prior to joining The Thomson Corporation, Ms. Owers was a principal consultant for Gemini Consulting, most recently as the global head of the Telecom and Media Strategic Research Group. She has considerable experience in strategy development, new business launches and operational delivery. Before joining Gemini, Ms. Owers spent nine years at Prentice Hall, where she was responsible for the European English language publishing program.
Ms. Owers holds an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
