Vin Caraher

Chief Executive Officer - Scientific

Vin Caraher is president and chief executive officer of Scientific, part of the Professional Division of Thomson Reuters. In this role, Mr. Caraher is responsible for leading the development and execution of the global Scientific strategy. Mr. Caraher was appointed president and chief executive officer of Thomson Scientific in May 2004, and he has over 19 years of experience with the organization.

Prior to this assignment, Mr. Caraher held various senior management positions including: executive vice president, Pharma Markets; executive vice president, Academic and Government Markets and senior vice president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing.

Previously, Mr. Caraher worked at WG&L as marketing director for the banking and business product lines. Mr. Caraher began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, holding various jobs in financial analysis and marketing.

Mr. Caraher is a graduate of Boston College and received his MBA at Adelphi University.
