Thomson Reuters Creates Clearing Partnership With Legent

London – Thomson Reuters today announced that it has formed an alliance with Legent Clearing, a leading provider of correspondent clearing services, to offer SEC compliance reporting, known as SEC Rule 606, to Legent’s customer base.

Thomson Reuters, through its Thomson Transaction Analytics (TTA) service, is the industry leader and trusted supplier of trade analytics and compliance reporting services to leading investment firms, broker/dealers and market centers globally.  The new agreement with Legent extends the reach of TTA services to a wide range of smaller investment firms throughout the US and allows Legent’s clients to benefit from a wider range of clearing services.

“As an independent provider of clearing services, we aim to give our correspondents the best possible service. Given our excellent experience with Thomson Reuters over the past four years, it was natural for us to partner with them,” says Ray Maratea, Co-President, Legent Clearing.

Miftah Khan, Global Head of Analytics at Thomson Reuters, adds: “Thomson Reuters is pleased to be working with Legent to add value to their correspondent relationships. Through our existing and longstanding relationship with Legent, we’re able to offer immediate out-of-the-box compliance reporting to the Legent correspondents that require it without any further effort on the part of the correspondents.”

Thomson Transaction Analytics (TTA), formerly known as Market Systems (MSI), supplies best execution analytics and compliance reporting to over three hundred firms. The product suite features centrally hosted solutions for SEC- and MiFID-compliant best execution monitoring and reporting. TTA analyzes hundreds of millions of client transactions daily spanning equities and options, across US and global markets.  More information is available at http://www.thomsonreuters.com/products_services/financial/transaction_analytics.
