Linda MacCracken

Biography

Linda MacCracken brings more than 15 years of healthcare experience to the Thomson Reuters Product Management division. As vice president of the planning and marketing business, MacCracken leads the development and delivery of planning and marketing business solutions to help healthcare providers discover their market opportunities and work more effectively with physicians and payers, using local insight and national benchmarks. Under her leadership, the Product Management team has successfully introduced products that help clients excel in their outpatient business growth. MacCracken is a frequent speaker about topics related to consumerism, physician engagement, and market growth best practices. She also teaches marketing to physician and dental executives at the Master’s of Management Program at Harvard University.

Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, MacCracken consulted to healthcare organizations on business development and market strategy and served as the chief marketing, planning, and business development officer at several hospitals. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and political science from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota  and a master's degree in business administration in the healthcare program from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts.

MacCracken is the author of Market Driven Strategy and coauthored several articles and abstracts, including "The Quest for the Quality-Driven Consumer”  and “Delayed Arrival: The Domestic Healthcare Traveler.”  She has also presented at conferences for the Healthcare Strategy Institute, Professional Research Corporation, Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development (SHSMD), and Innovator’s Studio.
