UPDATE SUMMARY

This release of the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP Enhanced Global version is a minor update with new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. The following are the highlights for this release:

documentation

Documents have undergone a major overhaul and update to include update of images to SAP ECC 6.0 views, rebranding of “Sabrix Integration for SAP” to “ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP” as well as other renaming, better organization of technical and configuration tasks, and update to overall comments and instructions.

Implementation simplification

Most code objects are now included in the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP – 40 Input User Attributes transport.  This transport has been improved to provide a simplified implementation containing most of the technical objects required for the US/CA Basic Integration.

Implementation simplification (INTSAP-274, 240, 233)

Issue:

The current technical implementation is time consuming due to manual labor and error prone.

Solution:

A set of transports is now provided to simplify implementations containing most of the technical objects required for the Global Enhanced Integration.

technical changes

SAP Java Connector support (INTSAP-217)

Issue:

A newer version of the SAP Java Connector (JCo) has been released.

Solution:

We now support up to version 3.0.8 of SAP JCo.

RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDITION (INTSAP-220)

Issue:

The jurisdiction break out structure was not returned in the RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDTION.

Solution:

While this didn’t have any impact on function, the input values are now returned in the output structure as well.

Logging File Appender (INTSAP-218)

Issue:

Zipped SabrixIntegrationServer.log files could not be viewed in Determination log browser.

Solution:

The FileAppender in the SabrixIntegrationServerLoggingConfig.xml has been changed to have an extension of SabrixIntegrationServer.%d{yyyy-MM-dd_HH}.log.zip.

Integration Startup Log (INTSAP-275)

Issue:

During start-up of Integration the tax mappings values are written out. The isCounty field was being logged instead of isCountry.

Solution:

The mapping has been corrected.

Solution Manager (INTSAP-249)

Issue:

The classpath in the SolutionManagerSubmit .bat and .sh file was wrong.

Solution:

The classpath has been corrected.

documentation changes

All documentation has undergone a major overhaul and update.  Of specific note are:

•

Rebranding of “Sabrix Integration for SAP” to “ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP” as well other product related renaming.

•

Better organization of all technical tasks into the Install Guide and configuration tasks into the Configuration Guide.

•

Update of images and graphics to new SAP 7.2 GUI styles and ONESOURCE branding.

•

Removed the bom.txt file from the Docs directory of the zip file.

•

Update to comments in properties and configuration files including sections in documentation explaining these properties.

•

Update to field level mapping for better readability and reference.

•

With this release of ONESOURCE Indirect Tax, only Product Updates are packaged in the product .zip file. All other guides will be available for download from the Knowledge Base article link provided in the top section of this document.

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

To download and install this release:

1.

Retrieve the ONESOURCEIDTIntegrationSAP_5200B.zip file from the Customer Center. To do so:

•

Open the Customer Center at http://customercenter.sabrix.com/sabrixcc.

•

Log on using the user name and password provided by Technical Support.

•

Find Integration for SAP (Basic US/CA) in the Available Products list and verify that Installed Version is set to None.

•

Click Download for Integration for SAP (Basic US/CA).

•

Save the file.

2.

Unzip the ONESOURCEIDTIntegrationSAP_5200B.zip file.

3.

Log on to the server where the current Integration for SAP is installed.

4.

Stop the Integration if currently running.

5.

Back up the following files, as you will need to reference them once you install the new release:

SabrixConnection.properties

•

IntegrationServerStartup.sh (if used at your implementation)

•

IntegrationServerShutdown.sh (if used at your implementation)

•

taxMappingsExtensons.xml

•

jcMappingsExtension.xml

•

authorityLanguageMappingsExtension.xml

•

SabrixIntegrationServerLoggingConfig.xml

6.

Unzip and extract the files in the .zip file to the directories where you installed the previous release of Integration for SAP.

7.

Compare files saved in step 5 above with the new files.  Merge custom configurations from the saved files with the newly provided ones if necessary, or replace the empty templates with the saved ones if no changes were made.

8.

Restart the Integration.
