E-file a calculation in the U.K.

ONESOURCE Corporate Tax supports e-filing for your company's annual tax returns. You can file for one or multiple accounting periods. Submit the CT600 return, supplementary returns, accounts, and computations. You can also submit supporting documents in PDF format.
Enter the wizard for each action to complete e-filing. These actions include Validate, File, and Check Status (File).
Most XBRL tags are already applied in the computations. However, some sheets require you to apply tags after completion because they are more customized.

Use the tagging wizard to prepare for e-file

The Tagging Wizard automatically tags data items in your Income Statement and supporting analysis sheets. It uses XBRL tags based on their descriptions in the calculation. The Tagging Wizard compares the descriptions you use in your calculation to a dictionary.
This dictionary contains the most commonly used descriptions in that context. When the Tagging Wizard finds a match, it tags the data item. It uses the XBRL tag corresponding to its match in the XBRL data dictionary.

XBRL tags

ONESOURCE Corporate Tax automatically tags any notes included in the calculation. However, HMRC has a limit on the number of notes you can tag.
The XBRL taxonomy divides the tags for a calculation into several broad functional areas. These include trading income, property income, or chargeable gains. Each of these areas is referred to as a hypercube. HMRC limits the number of tags in each hypercube to 40.
If you exceed 40 notes within a hypercube, ONESOURCE will automatically tag the first 40. It leaves the others untagged to ensure the calculation can successfully file to HMRC. For notes that aren't tagged, the system submits the note to HMRC as part of the HTML calculation.
