Follow the workflow to set up fund accounting features

  1. Make sure you know your firm's fund structure requirements.
  2. Create a fund template and set up a fund hierarchy.
  3. Create fund sets for reporting purposes.
  4. Are you updating the account structure from divisional to fund?
    • Yes
      : When you change the structure of an engagement from divisional to fund, Engagement Manager deletes all division definitions in the engagement. Document the current division definitions for the engagement before you apply the fund structure to the engagement.
    • No
      : Apply the fund structure to the engagement.
  5. Did you use a fund template?
    • Yes
      : Select a fund template.
    • No
      : Select
      New
      for the template and specify a mask. Build the fund hierarchy in the Trial Balance tab.
  6. Did you update the account structure from divisional to fund?
    • Yes
      : Redefine the fund definitions in the updated engagement as needed and update links in any Excel workpapers in Engagement Manager to complete the fund engagement setup.
    • No
      : Fund engagement setup is complete.
