Trial Balance

Create and edit trial balance account grouping codes at engagement level

You can create, edit, or delete account groupings, codes, and subcodes at the engagement level and at the firm level, if you have a user account that has been granted the required permission.
  1. In Engagement Manager, open the engagement.
  2. Select the
    Trial Balance
     tab.
  3. Select
    Account Groupings
    .
  4. Select the account grouping to view its codes and subcodes.
  5. You can do any of the following in the Codes or Subcodes panes:
    • Add an account grouping code: select
      Add
       in the Codes pane, enter the code and description, then select
      OK
      .
    • Add a subcode: select an account grouping code, then
      Add
       in the Subcodes pane. Enter the subcode and description, then select
      OK
      .
    • Modify an account grouping code or description: select an account grouping code, then
      Properties
       in the Codes pane. Change the code and/or description, then select
      OK
      .
    • Modify a subcode or description: select an account grouping code, a subcode, then
      Properties
       in the Subcodes pane. Change the subcode and/or description, then select
      OK
      .
    • Change the position of an account grouping code: select an account grouping code, then select
      Move Up
       or
      Move Down
       in the Codes pane until the code is in the correct place.
    • Change the position of a subcode: select an account grouping code, a subcode, then select
      Move Up
       or
      Move Down
       in the Subcodes pane until the subcode is in the correct place.
    • Delete an account grouping code: select an account grouping code, then select 
      Delete
       in the Codes pane. Select
      Yes
       to confirm.
    • Delete a subcode: Select an account grouping code, a subcode, then select
      Delete
       in the Subcodes pane. Select
      Yes
       to confirm.
  6. Select
    Save
     from above the Codes and Subcodes panes to keep your changes, or
    Cancel
     to undo them.
  7. Select
    OK
     to close Account Groupings.
