Assign partners and managers to clients
There's a 3-stage process to track tasks for an individual company by manager or partner.
Stage 1 — Set up partners and managers

If you've turned on
Integration
with Practice Management
Go to step 6 if the partner or manager isn't set up in Practice Management.
Go to step 7 if the partner or manager is set up in Practice Management.
Select
Tools
then
Manage third parties
.
Select
New Third Party
.
Enter the details of the person and their role.
For ease of identification, enter the partner or manager's name in
Organisation name
.
Select
OK.
If the partner or manager is not set up in Practice Management and needs to be, take the following steps:
Open Practice Management.
Select
File
,
New
,
New Contact
, then
New Person
.
Enter at least the minimum of mandatory details for the person in the
General
,
Personal
, and
User-Defined Fields
tabs.
Select
Save and Close
to save the record to the database.
Stage 2 — Assign them to the company
Open the company.
Select
Action
, then
Manage Other Relationships
.
Select
New
.
Choose either
Partner
or
Manager
from the
Relationships
dropdown list.
Use the
Name
dropdown list to choose either
Third Party
or
Individual
.

Choose
Third Party
if the person isn't linked to Practice Management or
Individual
if they are set up on Practice Management.
Select the person from the list, then
OK.

You'll need to edit each company to add the partner or manager
Step 3 — Run the task list by manager or partner
Select
Tasks
.
Mark the checkboxes for the task types you want to report on.
Choose the date range, then the manager or partner.
Select
Refresh
to update the task list.
You can print the task list and export it to Excel.
