Buy back of shares in Company Secretarial
The steps in the following procedure are also shown in our video
Carry out a buy back of shares
.
Select the
Share Transactions
tab within the company.
Select
New Share Transaction
from the toolbar.
On the
Shares Transacted
tab, select the name of the individual whose shares you want to buy back.
Enter the date of the share buy back.
Enter the number of shares you want to buy back as a negative figure.
Overtype the text in the narrative box to enter what you require in the meeting minutes.
note
The meeting minutes will describe this transaction as an allotment if you don't change the narrative.
On the
Payment details
tab, enter the share value as a positive figure, and the
Total cash received
as a negative figure.
The
Calls o/s
field should read
£0.00
once you've entered the
Total cash received
.
Select
OK
.
Select
OK
to create the minutes if required.
Once the minutes have been created and saved, select
Save
button to commit the changes to the database and create the documentation for the buyback.
