Version 23.3, build 3828 — Release Bulletin 08/12/2023

Corporation Tax version 23.3, build 3828

This release focuses on bug fixes including:
  • Error messages on opening investment companies.
  • Error messages on opening dormant companies.
  • Issues when attempting to delete some accounting periods.
We've adjusted some SME R&D calculations because some periods were showing
AUTO
instead of apportioning values across periods. This happened when R&D claims spanned 1 April 2023.
We've adjusted the following areas of the calculations:
  • Split of available losses for surrender.
  • Capped credit calculations.
  • Presentation of the computation regarding losses surrendered.
Some issues remain with the
R&D surrendered
rows, which we're continuing to work on. In some instances, the automatic apportionment between pre/from 1 April is wrong needs to be replaced. We recommend that you check these calculations. Replacing the values in these boxes will then flow through the remainder of the calculations.
We've added an
R&D intensive companies
checkbox. This adjusts the tax credit rate so that you don't need to manually replace it. We recommend you add note to the computation to disclose the information to HMRC.
The
New features
window contains a reminder of the additional R&D compliance requirements introduced earlier in 2023.
