Error: Service unable to provide data in Personal Tax

Scenario

You may get the following error message you use Integration in Personal, Business and Trust Tax.
Error message
Integration encountered a problem.
The service was unable to provide any data.
The Service was loaded successfully, but was unable to provide any data at the time. Accounts data service not installed.

Solution stage 1: Check integration services.

  1. In Personal Tax, go to
    Tools
    ,
    Integration
    , then
    Options
    .
  2. Select the
    Services
    tab.
  3. In the Available Integration Services table, check if there's a Service that matches the service type referred to in the error message.
  4. Close Integration Options.
  5. If there's an integration Service for the data type, follow the steps in Solution option 2a. If not, follow Solution option 2b.

Solution option 2a: If the service is listed

  1. In Personal Tax, select
    File
    , then
    Disconnect Clients
    .
  2. Select the client that's causing the error and follow the steps to disconnect.
  3. Select
    File
    ,
    Share Clients
    , then follow the steps to reconnect
  4. The following are optional steps and will depend on which type of data is causing the problem:
    1. In Accounts Production Advanced, open the client that's causing the error.
    2. Select
      Integration
      , then
      Unlink
      .
    3. Select
      Integration
      , then
      Link
      .
    4. Restart Accounts Production Advanced and Personal Tax.

Solution option 2b: If the service is not listed

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Go to
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Digita Shared\Integration\v2.1
  3. Right-click
    Configuration.exe
    and select
    Run as Administrator
    from the context menu.
  4. In the Integration Configuration dialog, select
    Edit
    ,
    Add
    , then
    Provider Service
    .
  5. Enter the following for Accounts Production:
    1. Application Name:
      Digita Accounts Production
      .
    2. Service:
      Accounts Data
      .
    3. Instance Name:
      Default
      .
    4. Instance Indentifier:
      Digita Accounts Production
      .
    5. Transport:
      Local In-Memory.
    6. Location:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Digita\Accounts Production\Digita.AccountsPro.Integration.Provider.InProc.dll
  6. Enter the following for Accounts Production Advanced:
    1. Application Name:
      Digita Accounts Production Advanced
      .
    2. Service:
      Accounts Data
      .
    3. Instance Name:
      Default
      .
    4. Instance Indentifier:
      ONESOURCE Digita Accounts Production
      .
    5. Transport:
      Local In-Memory.
    6. Location:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Digita\Accounts Production Advanced\DigitaIntegrationDataProvider.InProc.dll
  7. Close the Integration Configuration dialog.
  8. Select
    Save
    .
