The HighQ Appliance is an integrated application that can be installed on a virtual machine or server, either inside a firewall or in the DMZ.
HighQ Appliance now has an easy-to-use upgrade function. Please refer to the step-by-step guide below on how to upgrade the appliance, using the executable installer GUI.
Upgrading the Appliance

This requires access to your server or DMZ and cannot be performed via the client web interface.
Download the upgrade from the link provided by your HighQ contact.
Sign in to the Appliance application on your service.
Turn off any popup blocker installed on your server.
note
Popup blockers will stop logging pages from loading, please make sure any popup blocker is disabled during this process.
Check that the
Apache Tomcat
installer service is running.
Open the Windows
Start menu
, then search for
Services
, then look for
Apache Tomcat 7 HighQAppliance installer
OR
HighQApplianceInstaller
.
In the Appliance application, select
Upgrade
in the left-hand panel.
Select
Choose File
and navigate to and select the upgrade zip. Select
Upgrade
..

You can make a manual database backup during this step; even if you do not create a backup at this stage, the application will automatically make a backup during the upgrade process.
The

Please wait for the system to complete these steps.
After the upgrade is complete you will see this screen:
After the above screen appears, close down and restart the browser, log back in and check to make sure the version of your Appliance now matches the latest version.
