Data visualisation charts can use custom colour themes set by a system administrator. This means that system administrators can edit existing themes in an instance.
note
Please note that editing themes will apply to all charts using that theme within your instance.
Edit themes
To access the themes in system administration, navigate to your drop-down menu and select
System admin
.
The
System admin
section opens. In the system admin section, navigate to
Customize
.
The
Customize
screen opens. In the
Customize
screen, navigate to
Data visualization charts
>
Themes
.
Select
Customize
to open the
Custom themes
screen.
note
Please note that you cannot change the
None
theme, as this is built into the chart library and cannot be edited.
Select the theme you want to customise. The
Advanced Customisation
screen opens.
In the
Advanced Customisation
screen, you can:
Edit the name of the theme
Change existing colours
Add new colours via the
Add
button
note
Please note that the name is used to describe the theme in the list of themes when configuring a chart.
Once you have customised your theme, select
Apply
to apply your changes. If you wish to undo your changes before applying them, select
Reset
, to reset them.
note
Please note that the custom theme is not included in a Solution Template if it is exported.
A chart automatically shows the theme applied to a default pie chart; confirm that the theme works as expected and looks how you want it to look.
note
If you select
Reset
when you are customising a theme, it will undo the changes that you have just made. If you select
Apply
and close the window, you can still cancel those changes via
Cancel
on the
Customize
screen.
note
Please note that if you select
Restore default
, all themes will be restored to the default HighQ themes.
