Search the Q&A module and the inbox summary
Searching
The left pane of the Q&A module contains a search form.
This form allows a user to filter the questions shown in the list of questions using a variety of criteria. Regardless of the search criteria used, only the questions a user can access are displayed. 
The search criteria include:
- Topic
- Folder- any folder that was made the scope of the question
- File- any file that was made the scope of the question
- Status- Draft, Sent for Approval, Answered, Pending Response or Draft Response
- Priority- Low, Medium or High
- Organisation
- Date
Simply select the appropriate criteria (all of which must be satisfied for a question to be displayed) and select
Filter
. To clear the search criteria, select Reset
.Inbox Summary
For a quick overview of all questions available to a user, click on the 'Inbox Summary' in the left pane. 
This summary breaks down all of the questions that are available to the user into these categories (and provides totals for each category):
- Draft- A draft question created by anyone in the user's own organisation
- Sent for Approval- Every question asked by anyone in the user's own organisation that is awaiting approval to be submitted. If the user has approval rights, there will be an added note '(You need to approve)'
- Pending Response- This shows one of two numbers. Either every question asked by anyone in a user's organisation that is approved, submitted and awaiting a response. Or, for a user with Reply or View-all-Question rights, every question asked by any user in any organisation that has not yet been responded to
- Answered- Any questions that have been answered that the user can see. This includes both: answers to questions asked by users in the same organisation as the current user, and answers to questions asked by other organisations that have been disclosed to the user's own organisation
Click on the
View
link next to each category, which runs a search and shows a list of the questions in that category.This summary is further broken down into 'new' questions and answers, which the user has not looked at before, and 'Total' questions. An answer is considered new if the user has not yet viewed the answer, even if they have viewed the question.
