Create an Interactive Matter Map

You can create a new custom Interactive Matter Map, or customise a copy of an existing map.
  1. Go to
    Tools
    , then
    Interactive Matter Maps
    .
  2. Select the
    Custom Maps
    tab,
    My maps
    , then
    Create a map
    .
  3. Select
    Edit
    Edit button with indigo pencil icon next to the title of your map.
  4. Enter a
    Matter Map Name
    and a
    Description
    of the matter.
  5. Select
    My 1st Phase
    , then
    Edit
    .
  6. Enter a
    Phase Name
    and
    Description
    .
  7. To add resources from Practical Law or a web link to this phase:
    1. If there's no section yet, select
      Add new section
      , enter a
      Section title
      e, then select
      Add
      .
    2. Select
      Add
      next to Resources.
    3. Choose a
      Practical Law document
      or
      Link
      , then select
      Add
      .
  8. If you want to show tasks in this phase in a different colour, choose a
    Task colour
    .
  9. Select
    Apply
    , then
    Close
    to finish editing the Phase.
  10. To add a task to a phase, select the phase's Menu buttonMenu button with three indigo dots in a vertical line, then
    Add task
    .
  11. Enter details for the task in the same way as you did for a phase.
  12. To add more phases and tasks, you can also use the
    Add
    menu Add menu button, showing a blue plus icon and a dropdown arrow.
  13. Drag and drop phases and tasks to change their position on the map.
  14. To change the colour coding of a task, choose a colour from the dropdown list next to the task's title.
  15. To find content within maps, use the
    Keyword finder
    .
  16. To share a map with others, use a folder shared with others or the delivery options.
