Use Knowledge Map to aid your research

Use Knowledge Map to find related content quickly and speed up your research.
  1. Open a resource.
  2. Select
    Explore related content
    , then
    Explore the Map!
  3. To move around the map:
    1. Use your mouse to drag the map to where you want it.
    2. Press
      Tab
      to centre the map on different resources.
    3. Use the zoom controls to focus your attention on an area of the map.
  4. Select another resource on the map.
    Practical Law:
    • Expands the map to show more resources related to your new selection.
    • Updates the
      Preview
      pane to show the contents of your selected resource.
    • Adds the resource to the visited list for this map on the
      Preview
      pane.
    • Adds the selected resource to your
      History
      .
    • Saves the map, so that you can restore it by selecting
      Tools
      ,
      Knowledge Map
      .
  5. You can choose delivery options for the selected resource on the
    Preview
    pane.
  6. Select
    visited
    on the
    Preview
    pane to view a list of the resources you've selected in this Knowledge Map.
  7. In the
    visited
    window, use the checkboxes if you want to apply delivery options such as
    Download
    and
    Save to Folder
    to multiple resources.
  8. To restart your map with a new resource at its centre:
    1. Enter a term in the
      Search
      bar on the
      Preview
      pane.
    2. Select a resource from your search results.
