Carry out a node installation to run Digita Suite client software on workstations

if the Shared Digita Folder has already been setup on the Standalone Machine or Network Server.
Also, refer to the Installation Guide which covers the entire process step for step.
  1. Part 1 - Share the Digita Folder on the Standalone Machine or Network Server
  2. Open
    Microsoft Windows File Explorer
    on the standalone machine or network server and:
    1. Browse to the installation folder specified during the initial installation (by default this will be
      C:\Program Files (x86)\Digita
      )
    2. Right-click the
      Digita
      folder and select
      Properties
      from the pop-up menu.
  3. In the
    Digita Properties
    dialog box:
    1. Select the
      Sharing tab.
    2. Select the
      Advanced Sharing
      button.
  4. In the
    Advanced Sharing
    dialog box:
    1. Select the
      Share this folder
      check box
    2. Select the
      Permissions
      button.
  5. In the
    Permissions for Digita
    dialog box:
    1. Select the
      Everyone
      group
    2. Select the
      Allow
      Full Control
      check box, which will also automatically select the
      Allow
      C
      hange
      and
      Allow
      Read
      check boxes
    3. Select the
      OK
      button.
  6. Back in the
    Digita Properties
    dialog box:
    1. Select the
      Security
      tab.
    2. Select the
      Edit
      button.
  7. Select the
    Add
    button in the
    Security
    tab to add a security group.
  8. In the
    Select Users, Computers, Service Accounts, or Groups
    dialog box:
    1. Type ‘
      Everyone
      ’ in the
      Enter the object names to select
      box if you are using a Peer-to-Peer network set up (or if you are using a Domain, you can add ‘Domain Users’)
    2. Select the
      OK
      button.
  9. Back in the
    Digita Permissions
    dialog box:
    1. Select
      Everyone
      from the
      Group of user names
      list to highlight it.
    2. If it is not already selected, select the
      Allow Modify
      check box in the
      Permissions for Everyone
      group.
    3. Select the
      OK
      button.
  10. Select the
    OK
    button in the
    Digita Properties
    dialog box.
  11. Part 2 - Installing Client Software to Workstations
    Before installing, apply any outstanding
    Microsoft Windows
    updates and give the machine a reboot.
    Ensure you have logged in with Administrator rights to the machine.
    Disable any antivirus software.
  12. Open
    Microsoft Windows File Explorer
    on a workstation and select the
    Digita
    folder that you have shared on your network.
  13. Select a folder for one of the Digita applications and:
    1. Select the
      Nodeins
      sub-folder
    2. Double-click on the
      Setup
      application file to run it.
  14. Select the
    Next
    button to proceed through the installation wizard and select the
    Accept licence agreement
    check box if prompted.
  15. In the
    InstallShield Wizard
    dialog box:
    1. Select the
      Browse
      button if you want to change the default location for files
    2. Select the
      Next
      button when you're satisfied with the destination location.
  16. In the
    Desktop Shortcut
    dialog box, select the
    Yes
    button if you want to create a shortcut icon on the workstation’s desktop.
The procedure in steps
11-14
above must be completed for each Digita application, and for each workstation.
