Statement Purpose
This statement provides a record of unrealised capital gains for the income year.

Data Flow

Unrealised capital gains for the year should be manually input to determine the total unrealised net capital gain for the income year.
Any unused carried forward loss from
Net capital losses
will be used to reduce any unrealised capital gains in this statement.
The net capital gain/loss information from this statement will automatically link to the
Statement of unrealised income
.
Any unrealised futures, forwards or options that have been selected as
Capital
in
Calculation Setup
will be reversed from
Statement of unrealised income
to this statement.

Explanation of Fields

TAP sourced
– The columns within TAP source allow you to identify the different types of unrealised capital gains from Australian sourced investments.
NTAP sourced
– The columns within NTAP source allow you to identify the different types of unrealised capital gains from foreign sourced investments.
Losses
– The column within losses allows you to identify the unrealised capital loss for different types of investment.
Prior year
– The column within prior year allows you to identify the tax value which is manually entered in the first year. This value will roll forward to subsequent years.
Application of prior year losses
– The application of prior year losses will reduce any unrealised capital gain from this statement by applying any unused prior year losses carried forward from D19.
Inter-funding transfer
– This section is a disclosure section which requires manual input. Any data in this section will flow into the consolidated entity.

Signage

  • Opening balances and increases in loss amounts are positive amounts.
  • Decreases in loss amounts are negative.
