Temporary Differences Movement

Statement Purpose
This statement provides a detailed movement breakdown of temporary differences for the year. It will show any opening carried forward temporary differences, the adjustments made for the year, and the closing balance. The statement also allows identification of any unrecognized amounts that are to be carried forward to the next financial year.

Data Flow

Temporary differences calculated for the current financial year will be transferred from
Temporary Differences
statement.
Unrecognised amounts brought forward from prior year and any to be carried forward should be manually input in the first financial year. This will roll forward to the next financial year.
The total movement for each balance sheet item is displayed in the summary section at the end of the statement, showing the movement for any deferred tax asset or liability.

Signage

  • Carrying and tax values are positive amounts.
  • Deferred tax assets are shown in positive amounts.
  • Deferred tax liabilities are shown in negative amounts.
