After setting up a fixed assets chart of accounts and the corresponding mapping, the last step is to import the data from external fixed assets systems or registers to populate the worksheets. The data import file should be in a format similar to the standard trial balance import.
It is possible to import fixed assets data for multiple entities at one time. To do this, specify the entity identifier in the column headers.
For a successful import, we recommend using only text and hard-coded values in the file. Links and formulas can disrupt the upload.

While the data is being imported, it will fill in the relevant fixed assets categories fields in the import worksheets. The data will then flow into the corresponding fixed assets worksheets and the summary sheets.
After data is imported, most blue manual entry fields in the import sheets disappear and only populate the categories that have data flowing in from the import.
Importing opening balances do not override the opening balances that were carried forward.
It’s not necessary to import closing balances. These fields are calculated in the worksheets.
