Edit an import task
- On the main menu bar, selectImports, thenImport Details.
- In theActionscolumn, select the edit icon
next to the item you want to edit. - Make changes as necessary. You can change the name, entity, and import specifications. You can also upload a new import file. To upload a file, drag the new file into the section provided or upload from your computer.
- SelectNext. The Import New Data screen shows the contents of the file to be imported. If your source file is a Microsoft® Excel® workbook and your data is not in Sheet1, select the appropriate worksheet from theSelect Worksheetdropdown list.
- If you want to change the details of the file you are importing, you can map the source data columns to a new destination. When a column description in the source data matches a destination field in the system, the destination field is automatically populated. If there is no exact match, use the dropdown list in theDestinationcolumn to choose a corresponding field for each source data column. Fields to be mapped depend on the file type.
- If there is already an import specification, the name appears in theImport Specification Detailsfield. You can change this if you want to use a different import specification.
- SelectPreview dataif you want to view the contents of your import.
- SelectSave Import Specificationif you want to save your customizations to be reused.
