Import data

Import data from ONESOURCE Tax Provision (AU NextGen templates)

We've enhanced the data import process from OTP to OCT, eliminating the need for Excel files. This integration lets Australian customers using Corporate Tax NextGen templates transfer data across applications, even between different hosting regions (EMEA or AMERS).
  1. Enable the integration
    :
  2. Go to
    Administration
    Settings
    .
  3. Turn on the
    ONESOURCE Tax Provision Integration
     option.
  4. Create an import task
    :
  5. Select
    Imports
    , then
    Import Details
     from the main menu.
  6. Select
    Add
     to open the import wizard.
  7. Data source & target
    :
  8. Enter a name for your import task.
  9. Select your target dataset.
  10. The system will auto-populate the
    Period
     field.
  11. Select
    OTP Import
     as the
    Import Type
    .
  12. Select
    ONESOURCE Tax Provision
     as the
    Data Source
    .
  13. Connect to Tax Provision:
    1. Select your OTP Instance region (EMEA or AMERS).
    2. Enter your credentials and select
      Connect
      .
      note
      • Make sure that the user access is restricted to a single OTP instance at any given time.
      • You'll need single sign-on exemptions at
        Administration
        Setup
        Single Sign-On Exemptions
        .
  14. Select the
    OTP Dataset Year
    .
  15. Select your
    OTP Dataset
    .
  16. Select
    Unit
     for single entity or
    Sub-Consolidation
     for multiple entities.
  17. Select a
    Unit
     or
    Sub-Consolidation
     from the list.
  18. Select
    Local
     or
    Reporting
     currency.
  19. Select an OCT entity if you're importing a single entity. Otherwise leave as is if you're importing multiple entities.
  20. Don't change the default
    Data Mapping
     selection.
  21. Field options
    :
  22. Review the preview grid showing the OTP data.
  23. Select
    Next
    .
  24. Map data
    :
  25. Map OTP data columns to OCT destination columns.
  26. Mark
    Round to whole amounts
     if you want rounded figures.
  27. Specify the
    Source Currency
    .
  28. Optional: Select
    PREVIEW DATA
     to review.
  29. Select
    Import
     to begin the import.
Check the notification center or
Import Details
 screen for import status updates.

  • You can't edit, re-run, or download OTP import tasks.
  • OTP data marked for syncing will be accessible for retrieval after one hour. Instructions for marking data for syncing are available in the OTP help documentation. Help article path:
