Group relief - Group
To help you allocate group relief and group deductions allowance within your group, the following sheets are available in the group module:
- Losses matrix: This sheet lets you group relieve losses that have arisen in the period.
- Carried forward losses matrix: This sheet lets you group relieve available losses that have arisen in previous periods.
- Group deductions allowance: This sheet lets you allocate the group deductions allowance (GDA) among the group companies.
Completing the sheets
Losses matrix
The rows and columns in this sheet are automatically populated using data from individual entities within the group. Companies with available profits are shown in rows, and companies with available losses are shown across the top. You can manually specify amounts of group relief, which can then be pushed down to populate the Losses sheets in the entity calculations.
Carried forward losses matrix
This sheet works similarly to the Losses Matrix. The specified amounts can be pushed down to individual entities to populate their Losses sheets.
Group Deductions Allowance (GDA)
On this sheet, you need to allocate specific amounts of GDA between the relevant group companies. These amounts can then be pushed down to individual entities to populate the Carried Forward Losses sheet.

We calculate the amounts of losses available on the Losses Matrix to include all available losses, even those already offset within the entity.
