Register for e-filing with the ATO

If you choose to use ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager to lodge with the Australian Tax Office, you must nominate ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager as the software provider. As part of this process you will present a unique software ID.

Locating Your Software Subscription ID

To begin, you will need your software subscription ID. The software subscription ID is a unique identifier that is used to identify each unique subscription or instance of the software with the ATO. A user with client administrator rights can identify the software subscription ID under the Administration menu in ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager.

ONESOURCE users are required to nominate one software ID per software instance. In other words, if you use multiple ONESOURCE tax products, you must complete the nomination procedure separately for each product.
  1. Open ONESOURCE E-Filing Manager from the menu in the top left corner.
  2. On the navigation bar, select
    Administration
    , then
    Settings
    .
The
Software Subscription ID (SSID)
 field shows your software subscription ID number.

Nominate Your Software Provider

The steps below outline the steps to follow to use your myGovID to nominate one software provider as an Online Lodgement Provider through the ATO Access Manager.
  2. To nominate an online software provider, select
    My hosted SBR software services
     from the left menu.
  3. Select
    Notify the ATO of your hosted service
     .
  4. Identify the SBR software provider from the list. You can search using the Thomson Reuters ABN or Service Provider Name. Once located, select the ABN to continue with the nomination process:
    • ABN: 64058914668
    • Service Provider Name: Thomson Reuters (Professional) Australia Limited
  5. Select the ABN link
    64 058 914 668
    .
  6. Enter the software ID in the
    Add Software IDs
     field and select the
    Next
     button.
  7. Select
    Save
     .

  • If you are tax agent, you must enter the tax agent ABN number into E-Filing Manager.
