User Defined columns
User-define columns (UDCs) provide the ability to a maximum of ten additional columns in each workpaper, which you can then use to enter your own data. This feature lets you add additional information or can be used reporting purposes. You can upload data into a UDC, and the columns and any data they contain are rolled forward from year to year.
- UDCs added to benefit workpapers can be reported to the associated benefit reports or detail reports only.
- UDCs are intended to tag benefits with additional detail. They aren't intended to pick up UDC data from other workpapers.
- UDCs can't be added to all report types and can't be summarized. FBT Reconciliation Summary reports, for example, can't display UDCs.
- UDCs added to the Employee workpaper are only available in the Employee workpaper and don't link to benefit reports or detail reports.
- The UDC column in a workpaper can contain up to 255 characters (text), $99,999,999.99 (currency), 8 digits (integer), 99,999,999.99 (decimal) or from 1/01/1900 to 31/12/2030 (date).
