Add the NextGen map

In this step, add the new NextGen maps to the current period dataset. This is the dataset created from the roll forward when you converted the map.
  1. On the menu bar, select
    Configuration
    , then
    Mappings
    .
  2. In the ribbon toolbar, select
    Add
    .
  3. Complete the fields in the New Map pop-up window. Be sure the
    Dataset
     dropdown shows the current period dataset you created using roll forward.
  4. In the
    COA
     field, select the chart of accounts used with the classic dataset.
  5. In the
    Mapped to
     field, select the map that begins with
    AU Company Tax
    .
  6. Select
    OK
    .
  7. On the Mapping window in the grid, double-click the
    Name
     link for the map you want to open.
  8. Select the
    Import
     button in the ribbon toolbar.
  9. In the window that opens, select the NextGen map you created and select
    Open
    .
  10. The NextGen map imports into ONESOURCE Corporate Tax. Select
    Save
     in the ribbon toolbar.
  11. View the
    Status
     column to make sure all accounts are mapped.
  12. Use the
    Show
     dropdown and select
    Unmapped Accounts
    . You can map unmapped accounts manually.
  13. If there are many unmapped accounts, or no accounts were mapped when you imported the NextGen map file, contact Support or your Professional Services Consultant.
  14. If you are using more than 1 map within a dataset, repeat the steps to add each map.
