Configure and run reports by dataset, entity, dataset purpose, and date range, and view them on screen or download them as an Excel file.
Most reports can be customized using parameters such as dataset, entity, dataset purpose, and date range.
note
However, some reports have limited or no parameters. For example, Import History, Calculation, and E-Filing History reports use only the date range parameters. Reports such as Client Entity Details have no parameters except output format, and trial balance reports allow only a single dataset and single entity.
To run reports:
Select
Reports
to access the list of available reports.
Select the report you want to run.
Select
Configure and Run
for the report.
In the window that opens, define the parameters for your report:
Enter at least 1 parameter.
If you want to filter by date range, select both a
From Date
and a
To Date
.
Select the dataset first — entities are populated based on the dataset you select. Then select the entities you want to use.
When selecting entities, mark
Select child entities when group selected
to include all entities in a selected group automatically.
For dataset, entity, or dataset purpose parameters, you can choose
Select all
. If you select more than 1 option for a parameter, the number of selections appears. If you select only one, the name of that selection is shown.
If a selection conflicts with the logic of other selections, the report ignores it. For example, if you select a dataset purpose that doesn’t apply to the selected datasets or entities, the report runs based on the datasets and entities only.
To reuse parameters in future reports, select
Save Parameters
and enter a name. Previously saved parameters appear in the list, and can be selected at any time.
Select the output format:
Screen
: A new window opens for each report.
