Authorised Investment Funds

Overview

These sheets are designed to analyse and report the income and expenses of an Authorised investment fund (AIF).
To create an AIF, you will first need to develop an
Investment business
from the
Insert
menu. On the
Investment business
sheet, select “AIF” as the Business type from the dropdown menu. The computation can then be completed in the same way as a regular investment business.

Completing The Sheets

Income statement
We provided additional columns to allow you to analyse your income and expenses between revenue and capital. These
Revenue
and
Capital
columns are displayed by default but can be hidden using the “Show revenue and capital columns on Income Statement?” selector which is found on the
Permanent information
sheet, within the
Options
section.
These additional Revenue and Capital analysis columns are also present on the
Expense and income analysis
sheets and the display of these is controlled by the same selector on the
Permanent information
sheet.
Interest distributions
Where the company has made an interest distribution, the
Interest distributions
sheet can be inserted to calculate your “Eligible interest distribution amount”. The
Loan relationship and derivatives
sheet must also be inserted into the computation.
