Investment trusts (IT)

These sheets are designed to analyse and report the income and losses of an Investment trust (IT).

Overview

To create an IT the user will first need to develop an
Investment business
sheet, then select
Investment trust
as the business type from the dropdown. The computation can then be completed in the same way as a regular investment business.

Complete the sheets

Income statement
Further columns are provided to allow you to analyse your income and expenses between revenue and capital. These
Revenue
and
Capital
columns are displayed by default but can be hidden using the
Show revenue and capital columns on Income Statement?
selector which can be found on the
Permanent information
sheet, within the Options section.
These additional
Revenue
and
Capital
analysis columns are also present on the
Expense and income analysis
sheets and the display of these is controlled by the same selector on the
Permanent information
sheet.
Maximum income retention calculation
The
Maximum income retention calculation
sheet can be inserted from the
Insert
menu. This sheet is designed to calculate if additional distributions are required.
