Setting up beneficiary and member accounts

  1. Close the ledger.
  2. Open the client details panel by selecting Clients.
  3. Go to the Ledger tab.
  4. Enter the number of beneficiaries/members.
  5. Go to the Other tab.
  6. Enter a number (starting from 1, not 01) and name (optional - percentage of income to be split).
  7. Go to the ledger.
  8. Go to the Postings tab, Transaction Journal Wizard, and then Setup Rental or Member Accounts.
  9. Select the member, and then OK.
note
  • Repeat the steps based on the number of beneficiaries / members listed for the entity.
  • If you have more than 9 beneficiaries / members, then you'll want to increase the account length to 5 or 6 by going to client details, and then the Ledger tab.
  • If you cannot see the member's name on the member's statement in the financial report, then you'll need to follow the instructions above. Re-open the ledger if the software doesn't refresh.
