Follow these steps to connect HighQ and CoCounsel.
Add the application in HighQ
Sign in using a System administrator account.
Go to
System admin
under your profile.
On the navigation bar, find and select
API application registration
.
Your screen will refresh. Select
Add application
.
Edit the following fields. Leave the rest as their defaults.
Application name:
CoCounsel
Display name:
CoCounsel
Application Description:
Enter information to help other system administrators understand why you're integrating CoCounsel with HighQ via Syncly.
Redirect URL:
Enter the redirect URL.

To find the redirect URL, go to
CoCounsel Application
Admin settings
Integration page
Get your redirect URL and view setup info
.
Select
Save
.
You will be redirected to the list of API applications. Make a note of the details for the new application you set up.
Client ID
Secret Key
Add the HighQ connector
Be sure you are signed in to the application as an administrator.
Go to
Admin Settings
Integrations
.
Select
New connection
.
Select HighQ as your
Connector
.
Fill in the following fields:
Name:
Enter a name to identify the instance, such as HighQ Sandbox.
Client Id:
This is a generated 3-digit number that HighQ will automatically assign to the App set up in Step 1. You can go back to HighQ if you didn't make note of this in the previous step.
Secret Key:
Copy the value generated in the previous step.
Scope:
Enter
Admin
.
Refresh Token:
Leave as the default.
Server Address:
Enter the URL for your instance of HighQ.

Make sure to include the your instance name after the .com. For example,
https://xyz.highq.com/{instancename}
- with the
/{instancename}
being custom to your URL.
Select
Add connector
. The connector is added with an active state.
When you add the connector, it's available for all other people to view in their list of external Document Management System (DMS) connections. Every individual runs through the authorization process the 1st time they sign in.

We recommend administrators authorizing as soon as you add the connector. This way, you can test the connection before other people begin using it.
