Use this tab to change the properties for Typed Text annotations.
note
This tab appears on the Current Annotation Properties dialog and the Default Annotation Properties dialog.

Current Annotation Properties Dialog

Use this dialog to change the selected annotation's properties, such as the background colour for a typed text annotation. You can also use this dialog to change the default typed text annotation properties.
To open this dialog, select an annotation, right-click and choose Current Annotation Properties from the context menu.

Default Annotation Properties Dialog

Use this dialog to set default properties for all annotations of this type.
To open this dialog, right-click a document in an area without annotations and choose Default Annotation Properties from the context menu.

Fields & buttons

Annotation text
When viewing the current annotation properties, you can edit the annotation text in this field.
Insert Identifier
Click this button to enter the current date, the current time, and the current user's ID.
Insert Date
Click this button to enter the current date.
Insert Time
Click this button to enter the current time.
Insert User ID
Click this button to enter the user ID.
Font Name
This field displays the current font for typed text.

This is a read-only field. To change the font, click the Font button.
Font Size
This field displays the current font size.
note
This is a read-only field. To change the font for typed text annotations, click the Font button.
Font
Click this button to open the Font dialog where you can change the font name, style, and size.
Text position
Use this drop-down list to select the position of the typed text.
Background color
Tick this checkbox to add a background colour to the current annotation.
Color [Background options]
Click this button to open the Color dialog where you can select the background colour for the typed text annotation.
Frame
Mark this checkbox to give the typed text annotation a frame.
Color [Frame options]
Click this button to open the Color dialog, where you can select the frame colour for the typed text annotation.
Frame width
Enter the width to be used for the frame or use the arrow buttons to change the frame width.
Transparent
Mark this checkbox to make the annotation type transparent. The example annotation at the top of the dialog displays how the selected annotation will be displayed based on this checkbox.
Continuous mode
Mark this checkbox to use an annotation type without having to select it for each additional placement.
Set as Default
Click this button to save the current settings as default settings.
