Importing an audio file as an annotation

Audio files must be in the WAV format to be used as annotations.
  1. Open the document to be annotated.
  2. Choose Edit > Annotations > Audio, or right-click the document in the Watch window and choose Audio from the context menu.
  3. Select on the document where you want the audio annotation icon to appear.
  4. In the Audio recorder dialog, choose File > Import.
  5. Navigate to the audio file and select it.
  6. Select the Open button to import and play the file.

  • When a document with audio annotations is sent to a file or email recipient with the
    Include annotations
     checkbox marked in the Send to dialog, the PDF includes a button that a reader can click to play the annotation.
  • Audio annotations do not appear on printed documents or on documents transmitted to DT Client Portal.
