Use the DT Connect dialog to place an immediate call to our secure data centres, to schedule an unattended call, or to apply updates.
To open this dialog, choose File > DT Connect .

Fields & buttons

Call DT Connect
Click this option to place a call to our secure data centres and perform the actions marked in the Purpose of this call section of this dialog.
Apply updates
Click this option to install any pending DT FileCabinet updates.
note
This option is available only if you have downloaded DT FileCabinet application updates using DT Connect and have not applied the updates.
Now
Click this option if you want to place an immediate call to our secure data centres.
Later
Click this option to schedule an unattended call to our secure data centres.
If you choose this option, use the date and time fields to select the month, day, and time you want DT Connect to call or to apply available updates. After you complete these fields, click the Begin Countdown button to have DT Connect contact our secure data centres at the specified time.

option, use these fields to select the month, day, and time you want DT Connect to call or to apply available updates. After you complete these fields, click the Begin Countdown button to have DT Connect contact our secure data centres at the specified time.
Retrieve available updates
Mark this checkbox to retrieve available application updates during the next call.
note
If this checkbox is not marked, DT Connect will not download the most recent DT FileCabinet updates.
Updates list
This list of pending updates displays when you click the
Apply updates
option. Click the Apply Updates button to apply the updates in this list.
note
The
Apply updates
option is available only if you have downloaded DT FileCabinet updates using DT Connect and have not applied the updates.
Retrieve licenses
Mark this checkbox to retrieve the latest DT FileCabinet licenses. This is necessary only if you have recently updated your firm's license information by calling DT Support (to change the firm address or purchase a new application, for example).
Transmit to DT NetClient
This checkbox is marked if you are licensed for DT NetFirm and you have selected DT FileCabinet documents for transmittal to DT NetClient.
Select Drawers
Click this button to select DT FileCabinet drawers for transmittal to DT NetClient.
Communications
Click this button to manage communication settings for transmitting and receiving electronic files with your DT Professional Suite application.
Access via
This field shows the selected method for connecting to our secure data centres. To change the selected method, click the Communications button.
Call Now
Click this button to place a call to our secure data centres and perform the actions marked in the Purpose of this call section.
note
When applicable, the name of this button changes to "Apply Updates" or "Begin Countdown."
