Copying or moving existing images into an image group

Follow these steps to copy or move existing images into an image group.
note
You cannot add multiple-page TIF files to image groups.
  1. From the Image menu, choose Image Groups.
  2. If the desired image group does not already exist, create the image group.
  3. Select the drawer that contains the image group from the
    Drawer ID
    field.
  4. Select the desired image group from the
    Image Group
    field.
  5. Select the Add Image to Group button and choose from the following commands.
    • From file:
      Opens the Select Images dialog, in which you can navigate to and select image files to add to the current group.

      • If you're running DT FileCabinet in the DT Virtual Office environment, you can navigate to files on your local network.
      • Hold down the SHIFT or CTRL key to select multiple images.
    • Copy from drawer "‹selected drawer›":
      Opens the Copy dialog, in which you can mark the checkboxes for images and/or image groups available in the current drawer. DT FileCabinet displays only images that are not part of the selected image group. Click OK to copy the selected images to the current group.
    • Move from drawer "‹selected drawer›":
      Opens the Move dialog, in which you can mark the checkboxes for images and/or image groups available in the current drawer. DT FileCabinet displays only images that are not part of the selected image group. Click OK to move the selected images to the current group.
    • From scanner:
      Opens the Scan Pages dialog in which you can set options for scanning images into the group. Click the Scan button to begin scanning images into the group.
  6. Select Done.
