Choosing document or application folders for DT NetStaff or DT NetClient

For drawers that are designated as contributors to DT NetClient, you can set up DT FileCabinet to transmit the contents of specified folders to DT NetClient . For example, if you create a document folder called "Portal documents," you can designate the contents of that folder for transmission to DT NetClient for all DT NetClient-enabled drawers.
You can also choose application folders for transmission to DT NetClient. All documents contained in those folders for DT NetClient-enabled drawers will be transmitted to DT NetClient during the next call to DT Connect.
note
With the exception of Adobe PDF documents, you cannot transmit embedded objects to DT NetClient.
Use the following procedure to set up DT FileCabinet to transmit the contents of specified folders to DT NetClient.
  1. Choose Setup > System Configuration.
  2. Select the DT NetClient tab.
  3. Mark the checkbox for each document and/or application folder you wish to designate for transmission to DT NetStaff or DT NetClient.
  4. Select OK.
note
The DT NetClient tab is available only for users whose firms are licensed for DT NetFirm.
The DT NetClient folder designation is a global setting. If you enable a folder using this procedure, that folder is enabled for every drawer that is designated as a contributor to DT NetClient.
