Enabling advanced security options
When you use advanced user/group security instead of standard security, you set up users and assign them to predefined groups or groups that you create. This allows you to limit access to specific areas of DT FileCabinet.
To enable advanced user/group security, follow these steps.
- Choose Setup > System Configuration > Security.
- Mark theEnable Advanced User/Group Securitycheckbox.
- After viewing the information in the DT FileCabinet warning dialog that opens, click the Yes button. (Click the No button to return to the Security tab without enabling advanced security.)
note
- Marking theEnable Advanced User/Group Securitycheckbox requires the master password. If you have not yet set up a master password, you will be prompted to do so.
- If theEnable Standard Securitybutton appears in the Security tab, then advanced user/group security is currently enabled.
