Set up multi-factor authentication after resetting or purchasing a mobile device

If you lose your phone, trade it in, get a new mobile device, or reset your current device to factory settings, you can either pair an additional device with your account to ensure continued access to Client Centre or complete these steps to enable multi-factor authentication on the new device.
  1. Install the Thomson Reuters Authenticator app or a third-party Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) multi-factor authentication app on the new device.
  2. Unpair the old device from your account. Follow the steps in Manage multiple devices for multi-factor authentication.
  3. Set up multi-factor authentication to link your Client Centre account on the new device.
