Assign a contact to a client
You can give a contact access to clients in Client Centre by adding relationships. A contact can have access to several clients by setting up relationships to multiple clients.
Before you start
Make sure you're assigned to a permission group that has
Contacts
enabled.Add a contact
- In Onvio Centre, chooseSetup, thenAll Contacts.
- Add a contact with the Entity type set to Individual. The primary email address is required to enable Onvio Client Centre. If the contact already exists, continue to the next steps.
Add a client
- In Onvio Centre, chooseSetup, thenClients.
- Add a client. If the client already exists, continue to the next steps.
Add the relationship and enable Client Centre Access
- In Onvio Centre, chooseSetup, thenClients.
- Choose the client, then selectEdit
- Select the Relationships tab.
- SelectAdd.
- Choose the relationship.
- ChooseSelect Existing Contactand choose the contact.
- SelectSave.
- Select the Client Center Access tab.
- Select theClient Centerswitch to turn it on.noteIf you don't see this switch, you can't activate Client Centre for the client. Confirm that the client's entity is Individual and that you have entered a primary email address on the General tab.
- If Client Centre is already enabled, selectSave.
- Onvio will ask for an email address if one has not been entered for this contact.
- Choose when to send the contact an invitation to register their account: SelectSend Nowto send the registration email immediately after you selectSave. If you want to wait and send the registration email later, selectSend Later.You can return to this screen and selectShow Detailsto send the registration email at any time.
Next steps
After a relationship has been added between the contact and client, the contact might want to register a Client Centre portal.
