Browse Legal Memoranda and Points of Law

Legal Memoranda & Points of Law Collection is an electronic library of legal research work by expert practitioners and commercial legal researchers. You can add this subscription to your Westlaw Canada plan, or get the memos on a pay-per-view basis without a subscription.
If you're on a Primary Source, Commentary, or Court Documents page, you can also select the
Legal Memos
 tab to show memos related to your document.
  1. Select
    Legal Memoranda
     under the Commentary section.
  2. Choose a subject and classification to go to the Summaries list.
    Mark
    Specify Content to Search
    . You can then choose some checkboxes and enter text in the search box for a filtered search. If you want to browse legal memos instead of searching, select
    View Legal Memoranda
    .
    note
    On the Legal Memoranda table of content page, you can also search headings and subheadings. Enter your text in the
    Search Headings
     field then select
    Search
    .
  3. Select a title to go to the full text summary.
  4. With your summary open, select
    View Memorandum of Law
     to view the memo.
