Index to Canadian Legal Literature overview

Use the Index to Canadian Legal Literature or ICLL as a periodical index and bibliography of Canadian secondary sources.
Search the ICLL for journal articles, government publications, academic theses, and more. Select
Index to Canadian Legal Literature (ICLL)
under Finding Tools on the homepage to search the index. You can also search within your search results to help focus your search.
Select a document. The abstract tells you the following items if they're available:
  • Title
  • Author
  • Citation
  • Year
  • Subject
  • Category and case
The abstract also contains a link to the full text of the article or decision if it's available.
note
The subject headings are based on the Library of Congress headings and not the Canadian Abridgement. You can use the
Table of Subject Headings
on the ICLL search page to help you find headings to use in your search.
Use the
Table of Periodicals Indexed
to explain any acronyms you may find in the Index.
