Find environmental offence claims

Use the WestLaw Environmental Offences
Sentence
Sentencing
 Quantum Service to research fines and penalties for environmental offences. The full text versions are available for each underlying decision.
Cases in your search results are extracted from the Prosecution Disposition Report or case law.
  1. In the Browse section, select
    Quantum Services
    .
  2. Open
    My Subscriptions
    .
  3. Select
    Environmental Offences
    Sentence
    Sentencing
     Quantum Service
    .
  4. Use the fields provided to build a query in the
    Search
     field:
    1. Add keywords
      : use the fields in the
      Find documents that have
       and
      Exclude documents that have
       sections to search by keyword.
    2. Add document details
      : search by classification, factors, legislation, jurisdiction, and more if you have specific information about the offence already.
  5. After you build your query, select
    Create Report
    .
  6. Use the results page to browse claims:
    • Summary Table
      : lists penalty ranges related to your search.
    • Award Over Time Graph
      : displays each claim within the penalty range. Place your mouse over a point on the graph to find more details about that case.
    • Itemized search results
      : each case related to your search result listed by award. Use the filters to refine the search results. Select a case name to open the summary, statute, fine awarded, and aggravating or mitigating factors for the case. At the end of each case is a link to either the decision or the full Prosecution Disposition Report.
