Transfer engagement data from Guided Assurance

You can use the following steps to transfer engagement data from Guided Assurance into Engagement Manager.

Create a transfer file in Guided Assurance

Open a Guided Assurance engagement.

Select Properties
, then select Guided Assurance properties
from the dropdown menu.

This file consists of workpapers from Guided Assurance only.

Select Create transfer file
from Guided Assurance Setup menu, then select Continue

The transfer file is a copy of the Guided Assurance data, which is retained in Guided Assurance.

Enter a name for the transfer file.

Select Download
to create the file in your Downloads folder.

note

Creating a transfer file is only available for engagements that haven't been finalized in Engagement Manager.

Create a new engagement with Guided Assurance as the source.

In the Guided Assurance Setup panel, choose the Import an existing engagement
option.

Select Continue
, select Guided Assurance
from the dropdown menu in the Source field.

Select the Browse
for file button to go to and select the transfer file, or drag and drop the file into the Step 1: Upload File screen.

Select Next
, to complete the import in the Step 2: Import Engagement screen.

Select the Refresh button in the toolbar to view the Imported Documents folder.

note

The transfer folders and files are contained in one folder (Imported Documents).

The entire folder structure is retained from Guided Assurance when the transfer file is imported into Engagement Manager.

Workpaper-level signoffs are not imported from Guided Assurance.
