Engagement Manager 30 January, 2025 release notes

Universal Guided Assurance

Insert links to Guided Assurance documents into any engagement manager application. Right-click to export Guided Assurance documents to PPC type files. Alternatively, export all Guided Assurance documents from the Guided Assurance menu in the toolbar on the
Workpapers
 tab.
Install the
Universal Guided Assurance
 or the
Prosystem FX Guided Assurance Link
 application from the
Setup
,
Downloads
 screen. PPC files can be added to your alternative engagement manager application and will open in a web browser directly to a specific document.

Client communication – client input forms

Use the client communications feature in Engagement Manager to send Guided Assurance forms to your client. You client can fill out the document directly in the browser window. Then, your client will submit the finished document back to your firm to be added to the
Workpapers
 tab of the engagement.
Currently, the feature includes the CX-3.1 and the non-internal control module forms for CX-4.1, CX-4.2.1, CX-4.2.2, and CX-4.2.3. We are committed to expanding this functionality, with additional forms set to be added in future releases.

Audit Intelligence Analyze Trial Balance import

Import data from your client that
Audit Intelligence Analyze
 ingests and analyzes directly into the
Trial Balance
 tab of your engagement. This process eliminates the need for a separate Excel import to establish accounts and includes intelligent auto-mapping of account classification codes to the accounts.

Audit Intelligence Analyze Revenue - Sales subledger

The Audit Intelligence Analyze application now digests and analyzes Revenue or Sales data to provide valuable guidance for your audit.

Issues resolved

  • Child engagements that have already been rolled forward are preselected when rolling forward a parent consolidated engagement.
  • We've corrected the issue of unadjusted balances in the trial balance not recalculating after refreshing.
  • The document preview pane no longer gets stuck with a loading circle when switching between documents. This prevents the need to refresh or sign out to get the preview panel functioning again.
  • The apostrophe character will no longer appear as HTML encoded in the account description column after importing from a spreadsheet.
  • We've resolved the issue of sending files larger than 150 MB to the
    Workpapers
     tab from the
    Client Communication
     module.
  • We've updated the Caseware and Prosystem FX conversion tool to a new version. Install this version from the
    Setup
    ,
    Downloads
     screen to avoid issues with disabled actions in the right-click menu after a conversion.
  • We've updated the Dynamsoft web twain utility to a newer version. You use this utility when going to
    Add Workpaper
     and choosing the
    Scan
     option. Reinstall from the
    Setup
    ,
    Downloads
     screen to prevent version conflicts with the Onvio platform.
  • Ensure engagement-specific tax subcodes import properly between engagements of the same entity, even if the current period end date doesn't match exactly but is within the same year.
  • We've corrected the issue where a fund filter set up in the Trial Balance View didn't filter the list of accounts.
  • You can properly select rounding accounts on the
    Balance Definitions
     screen for divisional engagements.

Performance maintenance

Ongoing performance maintenance to improve the speed and reliability of the application. Enhancements include retrieving index values from GoFileRoom, loading workpaper information into the
Workpapers
 tab, tracking progress of a roll forward in progress, and finalizing an engagement.
