Engagement Manager 26 June, 2026 release notes

  • After a release, we recommend clearing your web browser's cache and cookies. Close and reopen the program, then sign in again.

Web Add-in

  • Improved context awareness when opening Office documents, we now display in the title bar the workpaper reference, document description, current period date, client number and name for better visibility across engagements. It will only work with the new GoFileRoom Add-in (2026.1.1 or higher) and is not backwards compatible.
  • The engagement link tab of the add-in has been enhanced to include an engagement selection dropdown when the document is within an engagement hierarchy. This new selector will allow you to insert values from different engagements within the hierarchy with ease.
  • Generate professionally formatted, print-ready Word and Excel reports directly from the web add-in
  • Optimized note dialog layout with a more compact header, maximizing space for content
  • Fixed an issue affecting the Recalculate function. To ensure accurate results, please avoid modifying the workbook or sheets while recalculation is in progress.

Coming soon

  • We will be removing support for the legacy COM Add-in version of the Microsoft Office Add-in for Engagement Manager soon (Date to be determined.)
     The new Web Add-in offers significant advantages: no registry entries or local files required, no separate 32-bit and 64-bit installers, and automatic updates that eliminate the need to reinstall on each computer. New Divisional and Consolidation features, along with the enhanced notes interface and journal entry shortcuts, will only be available in the Web Add-in. Please uninstall the legacy COM Add-in from Windows Control Panel before installing the new Web Add-in.

     As shared previously, please make sure to install the latest GoFileRoom Add-in (v26.1.1) to enable new features and avoid potential issues when working across engagements.
