Try the New GoFileRoom: Manage Users & Groups
We're excited to continue delivering on our commitment to modernizing the GoFileRoom experience. As we shared in previous release notes, this initiative is designed to bring your firm a more consistent, intuitive, and future-ready platform — and with this release, that vision takes its next major step forward with a redesigned Manage Users & Groups experience within the Administration module.
This is more than a visual refresh. It reflects our continued investment in:
  • A consistent look and feel across Thomson Reuters products, so your team spends less time context-switching between tools
  • Faster onboarding for new staff, thanks to a more intuitive, streamlined design
  • Smarter use of modern screen real estate, reducing unnecessary scrolling and clicks
  • Built-in accessibility improvements that support all users, including those relying on screen readers and keyboard navigation
  • A stronger foundation for future innovation — capabilities that simply weren't possible within the constraints of the legacy interface
We know change takes time to get comfortable with, especially for workflows tied to critical, time-sensitive deliverables. That's why we've included "
Try the new GoFileRoom
," a toggle that lets administrators move freely between the new and classic experiences — in either direction, without signing out. While the modernized interface will be your team's default starting point, the legacy view will remain available for a limited time to give your team room to adjust — we'll share the exact timeline as we get closer to retiring it.
This is just the first step in our GoFileRoom modernization journey. This is part of our ongoing investment in the new GoFileRoom experience, and we'll continue rolling out enhancements to additional areas of the application in upcoming releases.
A Look Ahead: GoFileRoom Product Roadmap
We believe in keeping our customers informed as we continue investing in GoFileRoom's future. To that end, our Product Management team has prepared a 30-minute roadmap presentation outlining upcoming priorities and the vision driving our ongoing modernization efforts. We welcome you to view this presentation with your team.

Issues resolved

Document Search: Reindexing on a non-Clients drawer: We corrected an issue where reindexing documents under a drawer other than
Clients
required every index field to be filled in, even when only specific values needed to change. Reindexing under non-Clients drawers now works correctly when updating only the desired index values, matching the existing behavior on the
Clients
drawer.
Permissions: We corrected an issue where administrators granted access to restricted drawers lost their administrator rights. This issue has been resolved, and administrators with access to restricted drawers now retain their admin rights correctly.
Document Search - Merging required Delete permission: We resolved an issue where documents could not be merged in Document Search unless the user had
Delete
permission on the drawer. Users can now merge documents in Document Search without needing
Delete
permission on the drawer as expected.
Files and entire folders can be sent to GoFileRoom by dragging and dropping them into a desktop shortcut using the GoFileRoom ControlPanel. An issue was resolved where Document Search stopped working after a file was added using drag and drop. Users can now add files without interrupting Document Search.
Reports: Tracking Report by Workflow performance: An issue was resolved where the
Tracking Report by Workflow
report had a high response time. This report now loads faster.
Document Search: Copy hyperlink to clipboard: We resolved an issue where copying a hyperlink to the clipboard did not work as expected. This functionality now works correctly.
My Alerts: Notification rules design: An issue was resolved where the notification rules in
My Alerts
displayed incorrectly. These now display correctly.
